Terms of service

These terms cover every order placed with Threaded Designs Melbourne. Placing an order (through the website form, Instagram DM, email, or by accepting an invoice) means agreeing to what is set out here.

Who we are

Threaded Designs Melbourne is a small home studio operated as an Australian sole trader, based in Victoria (ABN 50 206 219 904). Contact: support@threadeddesigns.com.au.

What we sell

• Personalised embroidered pieces made to order: soft toys, comforters, blankets, Christmas stockings, table linen, apparel, and similar items.
• Digitising services: converting artwork, logos, drawings or photos into machine-embroidery-ready stitch files (.PES, .DST, .JEF, .EXP, .VP3).
• Supply-your-own item embroidery on a piece you send in.

How orders are placed and confirmed

1. You send an enquiry through the website form, Instagram DM or email with the piece, the name or artwork, and any deadline.
2. We reply with a quote covering the item, personalisation, thread and turnaround.
3. Once you accept the quote, we issue an invoice payable through Square. Card details are handled by Square directly, not by this website.
4. Production starts after the invoice is paid. You will get a confirmation and an expected dispatch window.

Prices and payment

All prices are in Australian dollars (AUD) and include applicable Australian taxes where relevant. Payment is by card through Square. Payment must clear before stitching begins.

Turnaround and delivery

Turnaround varies by item and workload and is quoted per order. Shipping and delivery details are set out in the delivery policy. We do not guarantee arrival dates once a parcel is in the hands of the courier.

Approval and reworks

Names, spelling, thread colours and placement are locked in from your written confirmation. Please review carefully. If something is misspelled or the wrong colour is used against what was confirmed, we remake or refund per the refund policy. Change of mind after confirmation is not covered.

Ownership of stitch files and artwork

• You warrant that any artwork you send is yours to use, or that you have permission from the rights holder. We do not check ownership of client artwork.
• Digitised stitch files we produce from your artwork are yours to keep and reuse for personal or commercial embroidery.
• We may keep a copy of your file to make future reprints and reworks easier, and to test our digitising standards. We do not resell, share or licence your file to third parties.
• Sample photos of finished pieces may be posted on our Instagram to show our work, with names and identifying detail cropped or blurred where appropriate.

What we cannot embroider

We reserve the right to decline any artwork or wording that promotes hate, harassment, violence, or that infringes obvious third-party trademarks or copyright.

Cancellations

Cancellation rights depend on stage of production. Full detail is in the refund policy.

Consumer rights

Nothing in these terms excludes any guarantee or right you have under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010). If any part of these terms conflicts with those guarantees, the consumer law wins.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the business grows. The version in effect for your order is the one published on the day you paid your invoice.
